The only thing that you do in the beginning of editing a video is use cut no titles transitions of technical side tracking things you follow the story line then when your rough draft is done start adding dress ups or technical details.
When you are doing a rough cut you are not going to put any transitions on, you are only going to do cuts. When you put a cut in your film it means that you are going to join the two shots together from one to another. When you are editing you want to think what is the story about and what is the scene about.- Tim M.
Editing is the stage of movie-making where put the movie together and see what it will look like on the big screen, and also if the audience will understand your movie . While editing you can see if you tell the story so that you like it, what kind of shots or angles look best and where on your movie, if you get the audience on the edge of their seats when you want them to be, and if your movie does not contain needless shots that add nothing to your movie. Also while editing, we should keep in mind that not often in professional movies do we see transitions. Too many of these can make your movie corny, child-like, and just plain dorky. Now we wouldn't want that, now would we?
